Local Health Officer suspects that cases of illness may be due to a Bioterrorist incident. It may be difficult to immediately confirm that a bioterrorist incident has occurred following the identification of ill persons in the community. This is especially true for many of the critical biological agents which occur naturally in the United States until a preliminary investigation has been conducted.
