Fundamentals of Hospital Medicine - AAPA

The AAPA and Scott & White Hospital announces the second annual hospital/critical care medicine symposium and workshop. This 5-day course is based on the core competency standards set by the Society of Hospital Medicine. Each day the course will highlight a different area of medicine including cardiology, pulmonary and renal, endocrine and GI, and neurology and infectious disease. Hands-on experiences in one of the country’s top simulation centers include PICC placement, paracentesis, central line placement, thoracentesis, LPs, ventilator management, and case simulations. This course is approved by the AAPA for 37 hours Category I CME and requires a registration fee.

Emergency Medicine Basic Research Skills (EMBRS) Workshop  - ACEP

The 1-day JIS/JIC Planning for Tribal, State, and Local PIOs course will use interactive presentation to convey information and equip PIOs with the skills needed to establish and operate a JIS/JIC. NTPI Training Opportunities

First responders enrolled in National Terrorism and Preparedness Institute (NTPI) online courses can earn continuing education units (CEUs) from St. Petersburg College. Once the final assessment for a course has been successfully completed, a course completion certificate is available for printing. First responders can access online courses via the ANGEL system. A user account is required as well as verification that the course participant works for a first responder agency.
