Occupational Exposures – Field Workers

  • Field workers should follow the personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements provided to them by the incident commander.
  • A minimum of Biosafety Level 3 PPE should be used for fieldwork posing possible infective exposure.
    • Tyvek outer clothing
    • Gloves
    • Booties
    • Positive-pressure HEPA-filtered respirators
  • All PPE must be decontaminated or disposed of as biohazardous waste.
