AVOID ALL CONTACT. STRICT HYGIENE! |
Seek medical attention immediately. |
Inhalation: |
Irritation. |
Pressure demand, self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) (SCBA CBRN, if available) is recommended in response to non-routine emergency situations. Breath Response (pressure demand) HEPA PAPR. |
Fresh air, rest. Half-upright position. Perform CPR if necessary. Seek medical attention immediately. |
Skin: |

NOTES |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Toxic proteins of Abrin are resistant to digestive enzymes but are destroyed in cooking. The toxic portion is heat stable to 140°F (60° C) for 30 minutes; at 176° F (80° C) most of the toxicity is lost in 30 minutes. EXTREMELY TOXIC - Lethal dose after oral consumption by humans is approximately 0.005-0.007 mg/kg. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
